CABBI is seeking a new treasurer, secretary and vice-president.

CABBI is seeking members to step into three key committee roles at our next Annual General Meeting in August 2026 — and we welcome all enquiries.

Our Treasurer, Vice-President and Secretary will all be stepping down at the AGM, which means we need three enthusiastic members ready to take over and help keep CABBI running smoothly. These are important roles, and filling them well matters a great deal to the future of the organisation — so we’re putting the call out early to give interested members plenty of time to consider it and ask questions.

The Treasurer is responsible for managing CABBI’s financial records and ensuring sound financial oversight. The Vice-President supports the President and contributes to the strategic leadership of the committee. The Secretary is responsible for the administration of the committee, including the preparation of meeting agendas and minutes, the handling of correspondence, and the maintenance of the organisation’s official records.

You can read exactly what each role involves here:

Descriptions for all our committee roles are available on our Committee Position Descriptions page.

Filling these roles is a priority for the organisation, and members are encouraged to give early consideration to nominating. These roles are fully supported by the rest of the committee, and the outgoing members are happy to help the incoming volunteers settle in. You don’t need to be an expert; relevant skills & expertise are welcome but not essential.

If you’re interested, or you’d just like an informal chat about what’s involved, please get in touch at . Even if you’re not sure it’s for you, we’d encourage you to reach out — these roles are very achievable with the support of the team around you.
