Projects

Deborah Ellis

I explore my creativity through a wide range of artistic mediums, embracing opportunities to learn, experiment, and continually expand my creative practice. I enjoy challenging myself by exploring new techniques and materials, allowing each experience to inspire fresh ideas and unique artistic expressions.

My dedication to developing my art has been recognised through several achievements. I have been selected as a finalist in the River of Art exhibition for two consecutive years, and I was also honoured to be a finalist in the Circle Foundation for the Arts Magazine Cover Competition.

To broaden my artistic skills, I have completed a diverse range of workshops in both traditional and contemporary art forms. These include thread painting, textile mixed media, wet and needle felting, scratchboard art, and watercolour painting. Each workshop has challenged me to step outside my comfort zone, refine my techniques, and create distinctive, individual works that reflect my passion for creativity and lifelong learning.
