Ksana Gamaly

Ksana Gamaly, began her career as an engineer who specialised in materials for space and aviation, gaining a PhD and subsequently teaching physics at the university while simultaneously raising two children.

Her unexpected foray into the realm of art commenced in Mexico City, where she enrolled in an adult art school and discovered the captivating worlds of ceramics and stained glass. The metamorphosis of clay into tangible objects ignited a profound passion within her for creative expression.

Upon her return to Australia, curiosity blossomed into an ardent pursuit of visual expression. Her scientific background imbues her work with a realistic aesthetic, while her experiences in Mexico—with its vibrant hues—have profoundly shaped her artistic vision.

Inspired by the everyday beauty that surrounds us, Gamaly endeavours to capture fleeting moments of quiet delight in her paintings, inviting viewers to share in her profound sense of wonder.
