Ewen descends from a long family line of boat builders and shipwrights from the Isle of Skye. Family skills inherited plus trade experiences engendered an interest in most things “Craft” plus a continuing desire to produce items made by hand.

Returning to Tomakin and joining Batemans Bay Arts and Crafts Society (BBACS) now Creative Arts Batemans Bay Inc. (CABBI), afforded Ewen opportunities to further a wider range of interests and skills which includes sterling silver and other items of jewellery, clocks, sculpture, woodwork, metal work and more recently “warm glass” pieces from the kiln.
