Workshop Overview:
A workshop for Cabbi members, introducing ceramic hand building methods to create a variety of forms.
This workshop will focus on hand building clay forms and create decoration using a mono printing method.
This Workshop is at a beginner level but open to all those interested in working with clay. Morning tea provided.
Attendees to bring their own apron.

You will need to supply your own brushes, such as a 1” or 2” inch Bob Ross Landscape, 6 fan Brush, #2 script liner, #12 Filbert. Cleaning up materials including Baby wipes, paper towel, latex gloves. Some bob ross supplies are at Amanda’s of Mogo Art supplies

A series of 10 Ceramic Workshops for CABBI Members

NEW DATE FOR Session #2. Wednesday 02 April 10 am – 1 pm

Using a mould to make a shallow bowl and decorate the rim
with coils and handmade embellishments. The white clay bowls
will be bisque fired and washed with underglaze then clear
glazed and fired again.
Session #3. Sunday 13 April

We will make a house number or front door plaque. Using a slab
for the foundation, the decoration of your plaque could include the
use of low relief sprig moulds, stamps, doilies or texture from
found objects. The plaque will be made in terracotta, bisque fired
and finished with oxide and underglaze wash

Ceramic Forms. Each workshop will focus on different methods to create a functional pottery object. We will use
the three main techniques of hand building, pinch pot, slab work and coiling. Workshops are beginner level but

Tribal Women Bust Workshop
A Sculpture Workshop

Date : Sunday 22nd October 2023

Workshop Overview:
Using a 2 Part Air Dry Clay, sculpt the faces and shoulders over a styrene, wire and
foil armature. Kneading clay together will be required. Your sculpture will be attached
to a wooden base. If you prefer, Face molds will be available to use.
Use Paverpol Fabric hardener mixed with Paversand to create hair and garments.
Create trims using Paverpol dipped fabrics and /or molded clay.
Colour with Inks & Paverpol paints

This workshop is designed for beginners to learn the Floral Technique – Petals and
Dots, Impasto Style Art.
During the class you will, prime the canvas, learn about the medium and how to do the
Petal and dot technique creating a thick fluffy application with impasto and how to
finish the piece after drying.
